Lavender
(Lavender)

Lavenders hatchlings can vary in color from a soft brown to pale grey-lavender and even rich pastel shades of lavender with a pink-orange tone in the background.  The pastel tones tend to disappear as they age and as adults they are mainly a lavender grey to light grey color.  One of the unique features of the Lavender corns is that many will have a 'ruby' eye color.  The eyes can appear black, but in bright light are actually a deep ruby color.   The hypo gene tends to increase the pastel tones in Hypo Lavenders.
