Lava
(Lava Hypomelanism)

Originating from the Okeetee Line, Joe Pierce hatched the first snake with this new form of hypomelanism in 1994.  Lavas have a bright red-orange background with deep red saddles and black borders.  At one time they were called "Transparent Hypo" because they have an interesting and different translucent wash over the color.
Ice Corns are amelanistic lavas.  They are similar in color to pastel ghost corns, but have a frosted appearance due to the translucent wash.
