Butter
(Caramel + Amelanism)
Butters are based on the Caramel gene and
typical adults will be shades of
gold, yellow and white. Our selective breeding favors the richer yellow
strains. As hatchlings they look very different from their adult
coloration and are more tan, beige-pink and white (the yellow
tones will slowly appear with each shed).
The Motley, Stripe and Diffused patterns will also typically enhance and
brighten the colors.
Sulfers are diffused (bloodred) butters. This will be one of our breeding
projects in 2007.
